General Info
Community Housing Expansion of Austin (CHEA) is looking for two new community representatives to serve on our board. We are seeking individuals from the Austin community that are knowledgeable in a variety of sectors to assist in the governance and oversight of our organization.
CHEA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), cooperatively-owned housing organization in Austin, TX that creates and sustains affordable cooperative housing communities. CHEA operates two co-ops, Sasona and La Reunion.
Board representative terms are 12 months and representatives can serve up to 3 consecutive terms. This is a volunteer position that requires attendance of one meeting on the second Thursday of each month. CHEA is seeking candidates with skills and knowledge in marketing/ communications, program administration, fundraising, grant writing, membership management, cooperative organizations, real estate, housing, non-profit cooperatives, and/or manufactured housing.
